Laramie County School District No. 1 Interest Based Negotiations

Members in LCSD No. 1 classified units use Interest Based Strategies (IBS) to reach a solution regarding pay and benefits. The Technical Support Services, Nutrition Services, and Custodial Services units have never failed to obtain some type of pay increase or adjustment to their contracts in 20+ years.  With IBS each unit can target benefits for their group pursuing the best ideas and how best to utilize funds to serve a unit’s needs. Various contracts have becoming similar as the best ideas are pursued. Plus, the District has maintained a Health Insurance Premium at 92% employer and 8% employee.
